With today being election day and a rather tense time in our country, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on a weekend full of family, friends and celebrations
Because life is short but sweet for certain.
Friday afternoon we got the good news that our brother in law passed the bar! In honor of such an accomplishment we celebrated with some beer and pizza, is there anything better than that?
Saturday morning Eddie and I packed up our car, kissed Molly goodbye (which was so hard for me to do!) and drove two hours to Philadelphia to attend a surprise engagement party for my best friend from college.
The weather was as perfect as our 24 hour stay in one of my favorite cities. I was so happy to be reunited with friends that I haven't seen in years while celebrating such an exciting and monumental event.
Sunday morning before we made the trip back to Maryland, Eddie and I made a stop at Reading Terminal to bring back some of my father's favorite Jewish meats for our final celebration of the weekend.
I wish I had thought to take photos while walking around Reading Terminal but I was exhausted and slightly hungover so I was determined to get what we needed and back on the road.
After a short drive we were back in time for a quick nap with Molly before celebrating my dads birthday!
We celebrated my fathers birthday at my sisters house with too much food and ice cream but none of us were complaining! Molly even tried her first knish and had a taste of whipped cream, but thankfully not at the same time.
All in all it was a fantastic weekend of celebrating so many people we love and are happy to have in our lives.
