Yesterday started off with a decent workout.
I say decent because I had to scale back my intensity after having some knee pain the past few days, I'm sure it's from the bitter cold, lack of yoga and stretching I've done but I can't help my paranoia when it comes to knee pain since I've torn both of my meniscus's already!
My calorie burn was lower then usual but I was able to get through the class mostly pain free which is more important to me in the long run.
Oh! Before I forget I wore my brand new Just Keep Sweating long sleeved shirt I got in the mail over my tank top [because it's freezing, remember?]
I am OBSESSED.
I made four new long sleeved shirts in my shop last week, two men sizes and two women's.
I am wearing a mens in this picture because I love over sized shirts for hanging around the house or wearing to the gym.
For lunch at work I tried something new I picked up at Trader Joe's this past weekend, Quinoa Teriyaki Mushroom sushi. It was delicious! A little heavy on the Quinoa in my opinion but I ate the entire thing, even though a serving size was 3 pieces. I HATE HOW TRADER JOES TRICKS YOU IN THEIR PRE-MADE MEALS!
But one serving was only 120 calories and 2.5 servings were in the container so I didn't feel the least bit guilty eating 300 calories at lunch,
The rest of my day was spent working but before I went home I hit the food store for some bread to go with my new crockpot creation, I can't share the recipe details just yet because it will be in an upcoming Delta Dishes video but I can tell you it was amazing!
While I was wandering around the store I came across this bad boy...
I've never purchased coconut milk before this past weekend when I got the Pumpkin Spice flavor, but I knew the Mint Chocolate would be a delicious base for post workout protein shakes so I had to have it.
I was SO good for so long about having shakes for dinner but after awhile they got old and boring and I haven't been able to bring myself to have them. It also doesn't help that my husband is an amazing cook so when he makes dinner for himself I'd much rather eat what he's having then drink a healthy shake.
Can you blame me?
However I plan to have shakes at least 3 nights out of the week, the nights I work out, just to get back on track because I feel better when I have them VS a heavy meal at night.
Oh and I also picked up a mini sea salted caramel gelato because it's adorable, delicious and perfectly portioned out for me!
Have you found any new, delicious things at the food store?
