3 days-2,637 Calories Burned



Good Morning!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, I know I did. Nothing special happened, actually Friday I was cursed with a cracked tooth but outside of that I had a great weekend.
To make things even better my weekend is extended until Wednesday am thanks to using up some vacation time before starting my new job next week.


Friday
Unexpected day off due to the tooth incident so I took full advantage of having some extra time.
I was halfway to work when it happened and had to switch trains at Jamaica [nightmare] and head back home.

The dentist wasn't able to see me until early afternoon so I had a lot of time to kill before hand. I ended up getting my car inspected and washed for the first time since June, then I hit the gym for step.

Step is the one class where I am 100% uncoordinated and spend more then half of the time standing there completely dumbfounded as to what is going on.
Regardless of how ridiculous I look going left when the rest of the class is going right I stick it out because I like the workout. 
Go figure.
 After 30 minutes in step they broke into Bollywood dance and I used that time to hit the weights before finishing with abs.


 Nice little burn for an unexpected Friday am workout.

Saturday
I was up at 6 am and ready to sweat in 2 back to back classes.
See that burn?
I was on cloud 9 the rest of the day, it felt so great knowing I torched that many calories in under 2 hours.
The classes totally kicked my butt and I spent a good portion of the afternoon on the couch watching movies like Bad Teacher and Anchorman...not too shabby I'd say.

Saturday night we made Chipolte inspired burritos/burrito bowls for dinner and it was a huge hit.

For the base of the bowls I made cilantro lime brown rice, just like they have at Chipotle and I was really surprised at how easy it was to mimic.
Brown rice, juice of 3 limes and lots of cilantro...that's it!
 
For our other toppings I diced up some red onion and avocado, roasted corn, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, salsa and cheese.

Something tells me this meal will be made again in the future.


Sunday

I woke up feeling a little run down and thought I may be getting a cold so the gym was the last place I wanted to be.
But my mom said "Come on and get the workout done, then you can veg out for the rest of the day." So off we went.
705 calories burned and I wasn't pushing myself to my full potential.
I don't hate it!

The rest of the day was spent cooking/prepping for Super bowl and boy oh boy did we eat some great food.
None of it healthy outside of the celery and carrots you see in the left hand corner of the photo above.

But overindulging once in awhile isn't the end of the world, it makes you human.


OH I almost forgot, I am vlogging everyday in February so you can see a lot of my pre/post workouts, cooking my meals, and lots of other random things on those videos.

Now I am going to enjoy my day off, I have 3 things on my "to-do" list:
1. Bathe the boys
2. Call our wedding hall to schedule some appointments
3. Sweat
