I spend a lot of my free time on the train reading.
Books, magazines and blogs.
My blog reading is not limited to healthy living, I also enjoy food/cooking-fitness-family-etc
One of my all time favorite blogs is Iowa Girl Eats.
Kristin (the girl behind the blog) makes the most incredible dishes, not always 100% healthy but that's okay by me!
Life in moderation.
Although I look forward to all of her posts there is one day every week that I get the most excited about, Friday.
She does a round up of her favorites of the week, everything from DIY-fashion-recipes-funnies-travel etc and I decided after weeks of reading them I want to do the same.
So that is what this long winded intro was all about, introducing Friday Favorites here on JKS and I encourage all of you to join me!
Favorite Cookie Recipe:Peppermint Crunch Chocolate Chip Cookies
All I can think about is enjoying one [or five] of these cookies in front of the fire while sipping on hot coco watching Elf. Thanks to Culinary Concoctions by Peabody that will happen very soon.
Favorite Motivational Quote: I have been toying with the idea of signing up for the Long Island 1/2 Marathon which takes place on May 5, 2013. I feel like this quote is the push I need to sign up and train.
Favorite Wedding Find: I LOVE this off the shoulder sweatshirt! I think Eddie would agree that it would be perfect for me. A little bling bling never hurt anyone, right?
Favorite DIY: Lace Champagne Glass from Fabric, Paper, Glue
Simple and chic.
I would do this with a wine glass and pair it with a nice bottle of wine as a gift for someone. Hmmm Christmas is coming...
Favorite Nail Design:
Hopes.Dreams.Wishes
Those are the words that come to mind from this look. Now if only I was talented with nail art this could happen.
Favorite Must Have Accessory: This ring from Baublebar. I have a slight obsession with rose gold and think this would be a perfect addition to my jewelry box!
Favorite Appetizer Recipe: These babies will be made for either Thanksgiving or Christmas eve celebrations.
You're welcome in advance family members.
Why didn't I think of this?
Either way I am thrilled Yummy Mummy did and shared it, she also made a recipe for BRUSSELS MAC & CHEESE that I will be making as soon as we have electricity.
Favorite Fitness Fashion: Nike Skeleton Pants
These bad boys have been popping up all over. People just aren't sure what to think of them.
If I was a size 2 athelete I'd rock the heck out of these hot pants. I love the design.
They're weird...but perfect.
What do you think?
Favorite Sing-a-long song of the moment: HO HEY! By The Lumineers
Despite the song title, this isn't a song about disrespecting women, nor is it sung by the 7 dwarfs.
Actually it's an adorably catchy love song and thanks to a current movie commercial [can't remember which at the moment] it's been playing over and over in my head all week.
Favorite some E card:
And last but not least....Favorite Life Moment: WE GOT POWER BACK LAST NIGHT!!!
That's a wrap on my first Friday Favorites!
Let me know in the comments if you would like to see these each week
Happy Friday Sweaties
