Fro-yo with Dory, Gurgle & Jaques

I cannot even begin express my gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love I have received over the past 48 hours.
You all inspire me every single day.
You motivate me.
Push me.
Make me smile.
I could really go on and on...but I won't, for your sake.
Instead I'll just say THANK YOU.

Last night the girls and I had plans to eat fro-yo and watch the Olympics.

But before I could indulge in the frozen yogurt goodness, I had to take my Asics out for another test run.

I've decided they're going back to the store.
We're just not made for each other.
Sorry sneakers, it's you..not me.

Although it wasn't my best, I got my run in which was what was most important.
I cleared my head and shed some major sweat, mostly due to humidity...but let's pretend it was from working SO hard.

Clearly, I earned this fro...YO.

It only took 5 minutes of watching the Olympic opener for us all to decide we would rather channel surf and find something better.

And we did

Finding Nemo was on the Disney channel for the first time in I don't even know how long
(it is not a channel I frequent too often)

For those of you who may not know: Just Keep Sweating was inspired by Dory's "Just Keep Swimming" song.
She was Marlin's inspiration to never give up on his journey to find Nemo.
No matter how many sea creatures they encountered, she kept pushing him along.

Which turned into my inspiration to never give up on my weight loss & fitness journey.

While watching the movie we decided Lauren will now be referred to as "Gurgle," who is the germaphobic fish that lives in the tank.

Becky said she wants to be the shrimp, Jacques, because of his accent.

what can I say, I make people's nickname dreams come true.

Last night I sat on the couch for 2 hours with a huge smile on my face.
I still remember every line and sang along every time they sang
"just keep swimming, just keep swimming."

And that is what I intend to do,
only replace the swimming with sweating.

Speaking of's time for my Saturday morning workout!
I'll be back later to announce the blender bottle giveaway winner.

Again, thank you all...for everything.

  1. You're doing great, keep it up! :)

  2. This comment has been removed by the author.

  3. Dory's right - just keep swimming (I hum that to myself at work all the time). I just caught up on your previous post and while I'm sure you're well aware of this: a lot of the time we have to take our eyes off the mirror because it's harder to train our brains to see the changes our bodies already feel. You're obviously tough and strong, so hold on to that in your mind!

  4. Girl, you're awesome. I love the Nemo story. How fun! I hope you have an incredible weekend ahead. You totally deserve it. Wishing you the best, always.

  5. i love that youre blog title is from nemo! :)

  6. I love it when we get the inspiration we need just when we need it! (also- the olympic opener seemed to go on and lost my attention quickly as well... Where were the sparkly lights they had at Beijing?)
