5k-Wedding-Grad Parties-BBQ & Sweat

Life played a game with me this weekend, it was called
"Lets see how many things we can cram into two days"

Friday

I took off from work to do last minute running around for the walk and help with registration. But before all of that was Bollywood Sweat!

It was a 60 minute class that combines cardio and  bollywood inspired dancing followed by 10 minutes of ab work. I miss being able to take this class on a regular basis!

Saturday

My day started at 5:30 am... it was time to prepare for the 5k and being in charge of food for the event I had to make sure I was there and set up before everyone arrived.

The weather wasn't the best but at least the rain held off for the most part. The humidity, however, was a completely different story... it was brutal and made the run that much harder.

I ended up finishing in 33:45, which I wasn't too proud of but it was only my second 5k and I hadn't run since my first. We had a birthday brunch for my mom, very low key because later that night was Aly's graduation party AND before that Eddie and I had a wedding to attend.

The wedding was for one of my best friends since high school AND she is the first of the group to get married! As you can see above the bride was beautiful, as well as the girls surrounding her ;)

I may be bias but I had the best date there

Thankfully the wedding was only a block away from Aly's graduation party, so after cocktail hour we were off to party #2.

 Aly, my sister and I

Lauren, Me & Becky

 Becky, Christie & I

I had a great time at the party with family and friends...open bar didn't hurt either ;).

Sunday

The LAST thing I wanted to do was go to kickboxing Sunday morning, after all of the events on Saturday, BUT I had another graduation brunch and a BBQ that day so I had to get my sweat on!

cousins :)

I had a great time at brunch, tasty food and my family!

We had two hours in between brunch and hosting the BBQ for out of town guests, so we all kicked in to gear to prep food and clean the house.  The three lil' guys above were the biggest help out of everyone, naturally.

My fiance knows me too well. He knows my love of anything SkinnyGirl and saw this new flavor, so he picked up a bottle and I am so glad he did! It was DELICIOUS!

The weekend ended with a quick thunderstorm followed by a double rainbow! Can you see the eye in the left corner of the picture?
FREAKY!!

All in all I had a long but amazing weekend surrounded by friends and family. I feel loved and blessed...it's a great feeling :)

How was your weekend?

  4. Hey, YOU FINISHED a 5K! Be proud of that. You do so much during the week, I'd have to imagine that your legs are always fatigued. Be proud and undertsand that most people who race and put up SUPER FAST times taper and take it easy the week of. Not you! JUST KEEP SWEATING hits it HARD everyday of the week. GREAT JOB!

    1. Thank you Fiona!!! I later found out from my cousin that when she visited a medium a few years ago to contact her mother (who the run is in memory of) they told her that a hand or an eye is a symbol of her! How incredibly amazing is that
