Vegan Cheese Sauce Recipe!

I have been teasing you with pictures and tweets of this cheese sauce for a few weeks, but now I am finally ready to share it with all of you!

Let me start off by saying, YES Nutritional Yeast has a stinky feet smell..do NOT stick your nose in the jar...which you now will since I just told you not to, human nature.

However, if you can move past it you will fully enjoy the recipe I am about to share!

Vegan Cheese Sauce
100% clean!
serves 2


1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast (Star of the show)
 1T apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/2T whole wheat flour, IF necessary, to thicken


On a stove top combine yeast, water and ACV
(oh snap I just went Rachel Ray on ya'll with an abbreviation) 

Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer

Cover the sauce and cook on low, for 10-15 minutes

If you want a thicker consistency for your sauce, add flour slowly (pinches at a time) and whisk every few minutes. This is important because the flour can burn, or alter the taste if too much is added!

 Your finished product should look like this, a thick and cheesy sauce!

Go ahead and use it anyway you like, I used it on top of my baked eggs.

Simply delicious!
