For every CAN'T there is a CAN...

I have been working out,  at least 5 days a week for over a year now, and there are still a lot of things I cannot do.

I CANNOT do more then 10 perfect push ups
I CANNOT do jump lunges during Kickboxing
I CANNOT run more than 2 straight miles
I CANNOT make it through 45 minutes of straight cardio without taking a break for water once or twice/catch my breath

And I am totally okay with that, there is always room for growth and improvement.
One should always set goals and strive to not only achieve, but surpass what you thought was possible.

For every CAN'T, there is a CAN.

I CAN last through a tough 2 1/2 workout
I CAN do 3 miles of HIIT on the elliptical in under 30 minutes
I CAN get to the gym at 5 am, at least 4 mornings a week
I CAN do 10 perfect pushups and 90 push ups on my knees, which leaves you just as me
I CAN jump rope for 2 minutes, even 4 minutes straight
I CAN continue to surprise myself

There will always be CAN and CANNOT, the choice is yours to make it CAN and WILL.

Just Keep Sweating

  1. I love this! I just found your site thru Twitter. Nice to "meet" you! :) I recently started setting intentions rather than goals. It may be just a trick of the mind, but it helps me feel a bit better if I don't necessarily get to where I had hoped. It's always good to celebrate our accomplishments, and what we CAN do!
