Making Memories

For as long as I can remember my mom has been telling us to "make a memory."
Because at the end of the day, it's not about the money you have in the bank but the memories you have to look back on.

Since becoming a mother myself this little quote of hers has really taken on a new meaning, I find myself looking to do things with Molly and Eddie every chance I get.  This weekend was jam packed with moments that I know will turn into memories.

We started things off by joining a pool in our neighborhood which happens to have the best splash pad for the kids. Mommy and Daddy get to relax in the sunshine while Molly runs, splashes and plays with friends.

We found ourselves going there twice a day, all weekend and each time was just as fun as the last.  I am looking forward to many sunshine filled days swimming with my favorite little fish! (or swimmy swimmy as we all her)

What's better than swimming the day away?
An ice cream cone on a hot Friday night right before bed.

Saturday we started our family day with a workout followed by a playdate. Bubbles, dinosaurs, friends and trucks, what could be better than that?

After the playdate we hopped over to the local farmers market with friends for a quick pony ride (our first) before nap time.

Eddie and I were surprised at how well Molly did, not a single tear was shed!

We rounded out our weekend by celebrating Father's Day at the batting cages before going back to the pool one last time.

All in all we spent lots of time together, making memories and I couldn't be happier.
