My 5 Favorite Healthy Snacks



Last week I shared one of my latest snack obsessions over on my Facebook page. The response was so overwhelming I wanted to share a few other mini meals I have been grabbing lately. All five of these snacks are not only healthy but they're portable, so you can bring them to work OR toss them in your bag for an eating break while getting lost in Target for hours.
We all do it.




First up is the snack that inspired this post, homemade Spinach chips. 
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Lay a bunch of spinach on a baking sheet
Drizzle with olive oil
Season with your favorite spices
Bake for 5-7 minutes, until brown
Enjoy!

I have made these everyday for two weeks straight and I am never disappointed! 


I am no stranger to green juice whether it's homemade or store bought I love them all. Target recently started carrying the Suja Essentials line and I almost always have the MIGHTY GREENS in my fridge. I try to start my day with one of these but they're also great to have in my bag for a post workout pick me up.


 I never leave the house without a Quest bar. At the moment I have one in my gym bag, pocketbook and in my car. I refuse to ever let myself go hungry and these are my absolute favorite go to protein packed snacks. Last night Quest Nutrition posted a recipe for "S'Mores Magic Protein Bars" which I plan to make later today, I am just swapping out their protein for my Cellucor S'Mores for added awesomeness.


These are the newest addition to my snack family. I discovered these at Trader Joe's this past Friday and at the time only picked up one bag because I wasn't sure how I would like them.
I ate them during the Glee premiere that night, and promptly returned to Trader Joe's Saturday morning after boxing and bought 6 more bags. 

Move over hummus and carrots there is a new sheriff in town. My obsession with sugar snap peas is in full force right now, I just love these little guys. Then I paired them with 100 calorie Avocado Ranch Wholly Guacamole [That's a mouthful, get it?] and it was all over. 


Last but not least, Spinach and Kale bites from Trader Joes. These little guys are always in my freezer and whenever I have guests over they are a must-serve appetizer. They are light enough to have as a snack but they also make a delicious side dish for dinner. If you haven't tried them I recommend picking them up the next time you find yourself in the frozen section at TJ's!
