4 Clean, Healthy Meal Ideas!
Lately I have been getting a little more creative when it comes to my meals, whether it's lunches, snacks or smoothies I've been keeping my stomach guessing.
I thought I'd share a few of my recent and easy to make favorites!
Every morning I start my day with a green smoothie, they take less than five minutes to make and help me make sure I get all of my greens in!
My current favorite is a blend of:
1tsp PHresh Greens
4 slices of Frozen Peaches
Big handful of Spinach
2-3 leaves of Kale
1/4 of a frozen Banana
Water or Coconut Water
I pop all of these ingredients into my Nutribullet tall cup and blend then transfer to a big Mason jar over ice, add a scoop of chia seeds and shake it up!
On days I wake up really hungry I add a serving of Terra's Whey Vanilla protein powder, just to curb my appetite before breakfast.
My green smoothies give me SO much energy to get through a hectic workday or workout I can honestly tell a difference when I don't have one. Someday I'll have a real juicer but for now my Nutribullet works just fine.
Spinach chips are new to me but they have quickly become a favorite of mine!
To make them all you need to do is lay out a bunch of spinach leaves on a tray, the bigger the better, spray or drizzle with coconut/olive oil and seasonings of your choice.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 and enjoy!
It is no secret I am obsessed with my spiralizer. I bought myself one back in March as a birthday gift to myself and have used it two or three times a week ever since. Not only am I eating cleaner, I am also trying lots of new dishes thanks to my current favorite blog: Inspiralized
This week I took her Sweet Potato Mac n Cheese recipe and turned it into a Healthy Hamburger Helper by added some grass fed ground beef to it.
Not only is it a quick and easy weeknight dinner for you and your family, it's absolutely delicious!
Last but not least, dessert.
Lately I am in love with the newest Quest bar flavor: Cookies & Cream
The other night I was looking through our cabinets for a TV snack that wouldn't totally derail all of the hard work I had just put in at the gym, so I grabbed a bar, cut it into fourths and baked it at 350 for 10 minutes.
Delicious, guilt free and protein packed cookies.
Looks like I'll be needing another box of these bars ASAP, thankfully today is pay day ;)
