Today has been busy busy here at work and I feel like I have a lot to talk about on ye ole bloggy so lets jump right into my sweats & eats for last night and today.
Dinner last night...We stuck to the plan!
Rare occurrence, but oh so nice when it happens.
It doesn't photograph well at all, but that's okay because it was delicious.

Cooked in the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours, easy peasy.
I've come to the realization of two things:
1. Running at night at the gym is never going to happen. There are too many friends there at that time, aka too hard to focus and I'd rather gab it up.
2. I may be related to Derek Zoolander judging from that picture.
I did 40 minutes total on el dreadmill last night.
30:35 was spent on an incline of 6 at a speed of 4.5, it got my heart rate up--allowed me to gossip while sweating.
Success is written all over that workout, in case you can't see it.
Post dreadmill I went home.
Just wasn't feelin' the abs class last night, it happens.
This morning I was a BEAST in the gym.
Isn't it pleasant when a female refers to herself as a beast?
Yes, this is the time I arrived at my place of sweat this morning.
No it isn't the first, second or even fifteenth time I have been there at this ungodly hour, but today I decided a picture of my car radio clock was nesecary...to tweet of course.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do workout wise because as I've mentioned many times, I am a group fitness junkie [GFJ] so I tend to resemble a lost lamb when I am on the gym floor.
However, after a nice mile run to wakeup/warm up I hit the machines.
First up was the chest press where I realized how much strength I have lost in my upper body OR I was just tired because it was 5:15.
Then I tackled this thing.
I've never used it before [GFJ, remember?] but decided today was the day of new beginnings and used it for triceps extensions on level 10.
I'm not sure it's even called "level" but that is how we are going to refer to it for now.
Then I got crazy
Jillian Michaels is partly to blame for this craziness.
She was in my ear via podcast telling me how I need to "change up my workouts."
My bff Jill started mentioning working out on different platforms and elevations.
For example [my interpretation of her words] "If you do squats on a wood floor/carpet on a constant basis your body is going to get used to it. Challenge yourself, do squats on an uneven surface like a bosu."
Instead of squats I decided to take things to the next level, literally.
100 box jumps on this bad boy.
It was brutally awesome.
It was brutally awesome.
I left the gym feeling sweaty and proud.
Of course I had to post it on Instagram to let others know how proud I was.
Breakfast: 1/2c oats + dried cranberries[ as someone pointed out yesterday YES I am definitely on a kick] + shredded coconut + brown sugar
Snack 1: Apple slices
Lunch: same salad as yesterday with the addition of hearts of palm and sunflower seeds
Snack 2: Trader Joe's hummus and pita snack pack
Dinner [plan]: NO PLAN. Well that isn't 100% true, I know I will be making & consuming brussels in some way, possibly with a side of kale chips.
Maybe I'll make a bowl of roasted brussies and kale chips topped with 2 dippy eggs and nutritional yeast...
Yea, that's probably going to happen.
