Have you ever had one of those moments when you are in a fitness class, see yourself in a mirror and compare yourself to every body in the room?
I do this more often then I would like to admit.
This morning included.
There I was sweating my way through an intense 45 minute boot camp class, where I should have been focusing on my form to avoid further injuring myself, but instead I was looking at everyone around me.
The amount of time I spend picking apart everything I hate about my body is draining. I decided this morning I need to redirect my focus to positive thinking, and realize how far I have come.
This is where I started in 2009.
236 pounds and living in denial.
Over the past 3 years I have devoted myself to eating right (80% of the time) and sweating 5-6 times a week.
This is where I am today.
50+ pounds lost and an entire new outlook on life gained.
I am nowhere near my goal, but I have no doubts that I will get there when the time is right.
Under Armour started the What's Beautiful program to help women set and reach their goals, no matter what they are.
They will be choosing 10 of the most inspiring/amazing stories and sending the winners to Florida to participate in the first Under Armour Women's Camp Sweat.
Make sure you stop by Under Armour's website and share your story for a chance to win!
*To keep working on myself, every single day, both inside and out.
*Take time to appreciate how far I have come, and not focus on how far I have left to go.
*Love my body, it allows me to work hard and live life.
*Stop comparing myself to others, I am ME for a reason.
