Pumpkin Baby Cakes & 5 am workouts + Giveaway!

I did it ya'll. I turned into a country bumpkin.
Just kidding.
What I really mean is I am back on my 5 am gym grind.

Seeing this on your alarm screen is never easy, you just have to find the strength within yourself to rise above the obscene wake up time for the sake of sweating. That's what I do.
ADDED BONUS:: It gave me the opportunity to do an entire load of laundry (wash+dry, not fold) before leaving the house for the day, THAT makes waking up at that time even more worth it.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings there are strength training, boot camp style classes offered at my gym starting at 5:15. I usually get there around 4:55, set myself and lauren up(or vice versa, depending on who gets there first...I always hope its her, #lazy) then hop on the dreadmill for some walking and chatting.

Tuesdays class focused heavily on legs...lucky for me.
NOT.
I was stuck doing modifications of almost everything which was beyond frustrating, I am telling you this meniscus thing is really cramping my fitness mojo and I don't like it one bit.

One move I didn't have to modify was a combination of a squat, row and overhead press. I liked it so much I shared it on Instagram

We did 12 reps, 3 times. By the end the sweat was pouring.

However, the instructor loves to push us to our limits before 6 am and decided to make us do burpees + push ups after lunging across the room with weights.
Good times my friends, goooooood times.

Fall seems to have wasted no time by bringing in the cooler temperatures here in NY and I am not complaining. In fact I have jumped head first into pumpkin everything, along with every other blogger out there.

Pumpkin oatmeal baby cakes (pacncakes) is one of my new breakfast favorites!.

The ugliest food pictures taste the best. True Story.

Ingredients
1/2 cup quick oats
2T 100% pumpkin from a can
pumpkin pie spice & cinnamon, to taste
1t Truvia
1 egg white

Mix, separate into 4 and place in hot pan:

I suggest smashing the baby cakes as much as possible. You won't lose any of the moisture, but you will make it easier to flip

It takes about 5 minutes start to finish, perfect work morning breakfast.

It has come to my attention I have reached  2,000+ twitter followers, 1,000+ on Instagram and 500+ on Facebook.

UNREAL.

In honor of this I want to do a thank you giveaway. Just a little somethin' somethin' to show my love for all of you.

All you have to do is leave me a comment saying your favorite thing about the fall and you will win a $20 gift card to iTunes OR Starbucks, your choice

I will pick & announce the winner TOMORROW-Thursday September 13 and the winner will have until Friday to contact me.
