Bye Bye Power X, Hello Fantasy Football!

Power X was bittersweet tonight.
For starters I have never pushed myself so hard and felt so strong, even with my current knee issue.
My trainer complimented me more then once on my strength/endurance which always pushes me to perform even better.
A year ago I was terrified of this class, and now it is one of my favorite ways to sweat.

Unfortunately it is my last class until next summer.
Due to the sun setting earlier the class is moved from 6 & 6:30 to 5:30 & 6, just one more reason I need to find a 9-5 job on the island.
Commuting cuts into a lot of my workout time, and it makes me crazy.
Yes I am THAT crazy about my fitness classes, but if you were working out with my trainer you would do everything in your power to make all of her classes too.

So now I am sitting here at 8:40 fighting to stay awake because Eddie & I joined a fantasy football league and the draft is tonight, at 10:30.
That is really late for this grandma, but thankfully I have cookie butter to keep me awake.

I don't know the first thing about fantasy football, but it's something I have always wanted to be a part of and once Eddie said he was on board to be a team we were set.

Should be an interesting night for me.

Question of the night:
What is your favorite football team?
Are you in a fantasy football league?

  1. have funnnnnnn!!! fantasy football is addicting. My buddies and i have a fantasy team.

& its all about the packers babyyy! ;)

  2. Go Giants! I do an all girls league it's fun, makes me love football even more! I won in our league last year, pure luck, hoping to kill it again this year!

  3. I'm impressed girl, way to be on a fantasy football team. I LOVE football, I LOVE sports in general, but I don't really have a loyalty to any particular team. Shame on me.

  4. I have never heard of fantasy football! Have fun with it! :)

  5. my idea of fantasy football has very little to do with the game and everything to do with the players.

  6. I actually joined my first league this year too! My boyfriend did it last year, and at the beginning of the season I really hated football. Then towards the end of the season, I was rooting on all his players and really wanted to see his team do well. This year, I joined his league and I'm super stoked for football season! Lesson learned: give a girl who doesn't like football her own team! Oh, and I don't know the first thing about it either! My strategy is to pick all the players that did well on my boyfriend's team last year who aren't injured or benched. (He really hates my strategy)

  7. I have a fantasy team as well... play every year. My team name is Charlie Brown's Pals... you know, because he always tried to kick the football.

    Good luck!

  8. Good luck with your first week of fantasy football! We play every year with our college friends and this year we did a family league as well as a league with some of my friends from HS. It's a lot of fun!
