You want me to put that weight..where!?

So I was running extremely late this morning, due to sleeping in. The reason I slept in will be blamed on the fact that my dinner consisted of nothing but empty carbs.

I have never done that before, and plan on never doing it again.
Almost immediately after I felt sick (which Eddie warned me would happen, he knows me better than I know myself sometimes..scary.) but I made myself move around and cleaned the basement which helped a bit.

So...back to the point of this mornings post.

I was running late and forgot to grab my iPad (to read on) AND my current book (Divergent) so I grabbed this months SHAPE magazine to help pass the time on the train.

As I was flipping through the pages I saw this article:

This is something straight out of Fifty Shades of Grey!
Two lightweight balls you insert, to help work your pelvic floor muscles.

I immediately thought to myself, I wish Sex and the City was still on so Samantha could tell us all about how she's been using them for years... and swears by it, so I would feel a little bit better about this.

"I don't know about this one hunny"

I'm not a prude, but I really do not know how I feel about putting weights inside of my body.
I know kegels are something that many women do...but something about this whole thing just doesn't sit right with me.

I wanted to share this with all of you and see what you think.

Would you try the Intimina?
(the name even has part of intimidate in it!)

  1. Lol, this is funny! I personally feel the same way you do. But j guess when you think about it, some people may have problems with those muscle being weak, therefore needing the extra weight training. I would like to know too who would use these.

  4. LOL at the samantha comment. Oh how I miss that show.... ahhh

Anyway, No I dont think I would try it, I just havent ever said to myself "man I need to do some kegel exercises."

but I can totally see why someone would... Some people are.. well.. um... how do I say this gracefully?!... um... loose? lol sorry there's just no classy way of putting that. Also kegel exercises help with pelvic muscles. I know they recommend them to C-section patients and even recommend them to me after ovarian surgery. I however just opted for lower ab exercises... lol

now off to try to find sexy in the city online

    1. Trust me, Charlotte, lol, ANY postpartum momma should do them. You'll never jump on a trampoline or sneeze without peeing yourself again if you don't. lol

  5. They seriously named them that?

And no. No thanks. lol I'll fully admit, after having kids, Kegels work. (Jumping on a trampoline is a never-again thing if you don't. lol) But I would never use something silly like this. lol
