Training has begun

Max in his 4th of July attire

Just wanted to pop in and give you an mid-day update as to what has been going on in the Sweaty household.

Chance is already all partied out

I made myself a delicious breakfast omelet.
1 egg, 2 egg whites with fresh basil (from my own garden), tomato and feta.

It was the perfect fuel for my run.

I have my first 10k coming up in August as well as the Color Run so I really need to start working on my training. Today was the first day I've laced up for a run since June 2.
I had no idea what to expect, so I just went for it.

 Running outside has its perks:
Fresh air
Nature
Sunshine
That free feeling

But it also has its flaws:
Geese poop
People smoking cigarettes, that you happen to run through
Squirrels that look like they're going to attack
Cars
Bikes
Puddles
Humidity

I survived the elements and was on pace for a 5k PR. I wish I kept running that last 1/2 mile but I was home and just called it a day.

I am proud with my pacing because the run was EASY.
Never thought I'd say that about a run.
The plan is to run 2x a week 3 if I am feeling frisky.

 Can you see the sweat?
I promise it's there!

Off to a BBQ with the family... hope you're all having a fabulous 4th!
Stay Safe
