Happy Easter Everyone!
Bunnies before the race!
I cannot believe I ran my first 5k today! I am still trying to process it...It was such a rewarding and great experience I cannot wait to do it all again! We arrived over an hour early to register thinking we needed the time but in fact we spent most of our time just singing along to the radio in the car. I'm not complaining though it helped calm my nerves a bit.

Then at 8:45 we walked in our bright long socks and bunny ears to the starting line, and that is when the feeling of both excitement and nervousness hit me. I wasn't sure what to expect, the only thing I knew was we had to run the course twice in order to complete the 5k.
This was pure torture to me. The first lap was no problem, BUT after finishing it my mind automatically started thinking" ugh, do I really have to do this all over again!?" I know every run is different, but I would much prefer the course to be different the entire time, not repeated.
744 and 746 kept 745 going!
Towards the end of mile two I was tiiiiiired, my legs felt like jelly and my lungs were in shock from all of the fresh air, however running side by side with two of your best friends really comes in handy when you need that final push.
about to cross the finish line!
I ended up finishing in 33:13, which beat the goal of 35 minutes which I had originally set for myself.
I want to say thank you to EVERYONE for all of there motivating words both on Facebook and Twitter, I was receiving them the entire time and I could not believe how many people were cheering me on! It makes me want to push myself to do new things more often knowing I have all of you as my cheerleaders!
I hope you all had as great an Easter as I did!
